DJ Chill X a New Jersey native developed a good ear for quality music at an early age of 7 from his older brothers and began honing his DJ skills listening to DJ Red Alert, DJ Cheese, Jam Master Jay and watching and helping older DJ’s at school parties. DJ Chill X got his first break interning at 96.5 WYBC in Connecticut. He soon got a regular slot every night 11 - 2 know back then known as (DJ Chilly Chill) he made his mark. During his time in Connecticut he went on to open for many famous acts and spinning at hundreds of clubs and venues.
In the mid 90’s he made Harlem, NY home interning at 98.7 Kiss as music coordinator. Moving back home to NJ Inspired by mixtape DJ’s such as Ron G, Kid kapri, DJ Clue he began releasing monthly hip hop mixtapes hosted by Big Fu and classic house and slow jam mixtapes.
As of today DJ Chill X has gained enormous popularity for his Club Classics mixtapes. To date Chill has documented over 250,000 mixtapes sold independently across the US and over seas and most likely three times that number have been bootlegged in the street.
DJ Chill X has helped hundreds of independent artist gain exposure through mixtapes and club spins and remains true to the game of helping independent artist looking for an outlet. He remains on the grind 24/7 365 days a year doing clubs, parties, mixtapes, radio, internet radio (Maximum Reality Radio), spinning Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Reggaeton, House, Club Classics, Baltimore House, Dirty South, Old School, Lantin, Soca and every other type of music as he remains one of the most versatile DJ’s.
